The Majorcan wine cheaper
TORRE CANONGE NEGRE TONI GELABERT
Deep cherry red of medium intensity with intense ruby tinges.
Fine, intense, earthy aromas (wet stone and flintstone), with hints of eucalyptus balsam. Moderately fruity complex bouquet of fresh red berries and a clean fragrant oakiness.
Fresh, agreeable attack on the palate, going into a well textured, interesting continental character. Fine, soft tannins with a slight touch of acidity, which suggests it should age in the bottle to attain good balance. A complex, elusive wine with a promising future that may well be spectacular. Lingering aftertaste, perplexing in its licentiousness.
